Does everything happen for a reason?

One of my supposed best friends told the guy that I like all of my secrets that involve him.. she told him that I know his facebook pword, that I like him, that I know who his girlfriend is and she made me sound like a creep and a stalker, which is not the deal at all.. I'm bawling my eyes out right now from betrayal and the fact that he thinks I'm psycho so he won't talk to me anymore.. Clearly, I'm not friends with her anymore.. but it just ruined my life.. I'm 14, and I really want to kill myself right now.. I am so humiliated and hurt and I don't want to go through this.. if everything happens for a reason, why did this happen to me? :'(
