Keyboard types numbers instead of letters?

I been working on this computer, and for some reason the letter keys i press cycles threw the numbers 1-9. no matter what key I press on the key board. Now here is the twist....It only does it on yahoo messenger and world of warcraft so far. Also I been surfing the web for an answer and I am 101% its not the Num Lock. Any help on this matter would be very appreciated :)
