Do you think the Tea Party will be good or bad for the Republican Party in the long run?

The Tea Party was great at rousing the Republican base for the 2010 midterm elections, but in the long run do think the expanding influence of the Tea Party within the Republican Party will scare more moderate voters away from voting Republican?
